Adult Discipleship

The heart of faith rests in our personal relationship with God.  We develop that relationship over time through study, prayer and sharing faith stories with one another.  Spiritual growth is for all ages and gives us the opportunity to discover who we are becoming as people of faith.  Invest in your relationship with God by participating in one of our Adult Education options.

What a great evening! Last week, thirty men gathered for the movie Unbroken, followed by conversation about launching a men’s ministry at our church.

The interest level was high as we discussed ways of growing stronger as disciples and strengthening the ministry of our church.
Pastor Bruce asked for a group of volunteers to help him outline next steps. So here they are:

  • NEXT STEP—All men are invited to a potluck dinner on Sunday, January 25th at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Here’s the deal—bring a favorite dish to share AND be prepared to explain why you like it and what this dish means to you. You can purchase it or have someone else make it for you, but it has to be special to you. We’ll talk more about our vision for men’s ministry and the difference it can make in the life in our families, our church, and our community.

  • THE NEXT, NEXT STEP—The 22-Minute Meeting. On the 2nd Sunday of each month, beginning in February, we’ll have a 22-minute meeting immediately following Sunday School and the 9-3-0 service in Fellowship Hall. That means we’ll meet on February 8th at 10:32 a.m. It will conclude at 10:54. This will be a fast-paced, hard-hitting discussion on issues men can relate to.
